29 apartments were searched during the RENEA operation in Korçë and Pogradec; drugs and millions of lek were seized

During an operation conducted by the Korçë Police, assisted by RENEA forces, this Friday in Korçë and Pogradec, a total of 29 residences were searched. Inside these residences, illegal items belonging to individuals with criminal records, primarily related to drugs, were discovered.

So far, 14 individuals have been detained for questioning, and in the coming hours, most of them are expected to be arrested. The most wanted individual, Erjon Llapushi, according to sources, was not found at his home to be apprehended. Moreover, no illegal items were found in his residence.

Meanwhile, weapons, significant amounts of cash, and narcotics were discovered. The police seized shotguns, pistols, including sophisticated disguised weapons such as pen-shaped knives.

In various residences that were searched, authorities found 90 million old lek, 50 million old lek, 26 thousand dollars, 500 kilograms of fuel suspected to be contraband, as well as cell phones used for gambling activities. In three different residences, cocaine was also found, packaged in doses.
