Basketball promoted in Korça, exceptional participation…

An event that attracted attention was held at the “Tamara Nikolla” Sports Hall. This event was linked to the promotion and one-day training offered to young children aged 11-14 in a training session.

This was an initiative of the Basketball Federation (F.SH. Basketboll), with its representative Ersi Urucci, who, with the support of the multi-sport club “Skënderbeu,” brought young athletes from 9-year-old schools to the sports facilities.

According to the coordinator of this activity, coach Arjan Kostani: “It was an extraordinary participation, with over 55 children who love basketball trained in a training session. What stood out was their great desire to engage in this sport, but at the same time, we also identified talented young athletes who tomorrow might become part of teams. This was a very positive step by the federation, and I strongly believe that such activities are very beneficial for sports and for young people. These activities will be extended throughout the country, and I am happy that Korça was chosen as the venue for this promotion because the sports culture in this city is also a source of pride.”

Also, it should be noted that physical education teachers are ready to support such sporting events.
