EXCLUSIVE: Changes Begin at Skënderbeu as Two Players Depart

New developments have emerged in Skënderbeu’s camp as the year 2024 comes to an end. Our portal, “Korça Boom,” is the first to bring you the latest updates regarding the club. As we reported earlier, departures were expected to precede new arrivals, and now we can confirm the first two players to part ways with Skënderbeu: Etienne Tare and Tayo Abiodun.

Etienne Tare:

The first to leave is Etienne Tare, the son of renowned football figure Igli Tare. Etienne joined Skënderbeu with much fanfare during the summer transfer window but failed to make an impact. Over 19 weeks of the “Abissnet Superiore,” the 21-year-old striker played only 26 minutes and left no significant mark. According to sources, Tare has reached an agreement with Skënderbeu to terminate his contract. He is now set to continue his career in Kosovo, where he is expected to join Suhareka in the Kosovan championship. This signals the end of Tare’s brief stint with Skënderbeu.

Tayo Abiodun:

The second player to depart is 19-year-old striker Tayo Abiodun. Like Tare, Tayo joined the team amid high expectations during the summer transfer window, but his performance fell short. Despite playing 192 minutes on the front line, he failed to meet the club’s standards. Tayo has officially terminated his contract with Skënderbeu, and the club confirms no further obligations toward the player.

The Start of a Rebuild

These departures mark the beginning of an overhaul at Skënderbeu following disappointing results in the first 19 weeks of the season. The “cleaning operation” has commenced, with more exits and potential arrivals expected. Stay tuned to “Korça Boom” for exclusive updates on all the latest movements within the club.
