Fatally hit a pedestrian, 45-year-old from Korça arrested

A 45-year-old man has been arrested by the Elbasan Police after fatally hitting a pedestrian the day before. The accident occurred yesterday in the “Shënkoll” neighborhood of Elbasan, where the 45-year-old, driving his vehicle, hit a 69-year-old woman and then fled the scene. The 69-year-old victim passed away at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested after hitting a pedestrian with his vehicle, resulting in her death, and fleeing the scene.

Traffic specialists of the Elbasan Police Directorate arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen M. P., 45 years old, resident of Korçë, for the criminal offenses of “Violation of traffic rules” resulting in death and “Leaving the scene of an accident.”

This citizen is suspected to have hit the pedestrian F. H., 69 years old, yesterday in the “Shënkoll” neighborhood of Elbasan while driving his vehicle and then fled the scene.

The 69-year-old woman lost her life at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

The case has been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
