High temperatures expected — mountain areas forecasted to reach up to 27 degrees

This weekend will bring stable weather across the entire country.

“Almost the entire Albanian territory will be dominated by clear skies. Light clouds will appear mainly in the northern and north-northeastern parts, mostly in the second half of the day. There will be no rainfall, so the whole country will enjoy sunshine,” said meteorologist Lajda Porja.

According to meteorologists, temperatures will be comfortable for those who want to visit the coast.

“Mountain areas can expect temperatures up to 27 degrees Celsius. Coastal temperatures will range from lows of 19 degrees to highs of 31-32 degrees Celsius. The highest temperatures, reaching around 34 degrees or slightly above, are expected in the regions of Elbasan, Berat, Gjirokastër, and Fier over the weekend.”

Wind will also be present during the weekend.

“From time to time, moderate winds will cause waves at sea, making it less calm for visitors, especially those with children along the coast. Particularly along the Ionian coast, the sea will be relatively wavy on both Saturday and Sunday due to the winds.”

June is forecasted to be a warm month with temperatures 3-4 degrees above the monthly average.
