How much they took from Skënderbeu, but how little they gave…

Skënderbeu, the club of Korça, has made a great name for itself over the past decade, one that has been exploited by everyone who has worn this jersey and, naturally, they have had pride in it.

A pride that came from the titles and the name in the European football arena with clubs. There have been generations of footballers who gained so much from Skënderbeu in every direction, and even today, many of them are still active in Albanian football, leading teams as coaches.

But let’s stop for a moment and reflect on the recent times. Many footballers came without a big name, wore this jersey, grew, formed their own personality, and later, as is normal, looked to continue their careers at a higher level. Even in financial terms, they saw improvements and earned more money.

Up until this point, everything seems normal, but on the other hand, we must also consider the interests of the team, a team that was left in this condition and position. It may not be entirely their fault, but still, they should have had a greater responsibility to give more in order to justify their positions in this team.

The season will come to an end, and once again, many footballers will carry with them the memory of Skënderbeu and will leave, while this team will remain here. This name will stay in Korça, and everything must be restarted to be where it truly belongs.
