Korçë after the rain / Blocked roads reopened, intervention continues to reinforce the embankment of the Devoll River

The Prefecture of Korçë County reports that, according to updates from the responsible structures, the situation on the ground is as follows:

ARA – Central-East Directorate

No issues have been reported on the road network. Vehicle circulation continues normally. Work is ongoing on the Qafë Plloçë – Qukës route to clear inert materials.

Local Units (Municipalities)

No new problems have been reported. Work continues to fully neutralize previously identified problem areas.

In Maliq Municipality, intervention continues to reinforce the embankment in the section of the Devoll River where a crack had formed.

In the Zboqëri area, Libonik Administrative Unit, Civil Protection structures of Maliq Municipality intervened yesterday and today to clear roads affected by landslides caused by the rain.

Problems were observed in the villages of Zboq, Mëmël, and Manastriec, where large amounts of soil had completely blocked roads, hindering circulation and access for residents.

Thanks to the immediate intervention and intensive work of the relevant structures, the roads have been cleared and fully reopened, restoring normal movement in these areas.

Pogradec Municipality

Work is ongoing to clear the roads connecting the villages of Osnat, Nicë, Lekas, and Dërdushë.

In the Trebinjë Administrative Unit, work on the Dunicë – Kalivaç road has been completed and it is now passable. Yesterday, cleaning interventions were also carried out on several segments of the Remenj River.

EPDOA reports:

1 feeder partially out of service: Frigorifer feeder, NST Gjanç – 2 rural subscribers without power, Krushovë cabin.

1 feeder out of service: Feeder 9, NST Lozhan – 502 subscribers without power.

1 feeder partially out of service: Feeder 14, NST Petrushë – Prenisht area, 14 rural subscribers without power.

The responsible structures continue to monitor the situation and remain on standby for any necessary interventions.
