POGRADEC / The parents of Guido Dervishllari appeal to Albanians: Help us raise the funeral costs

A tragic event was reported just a day ago, where 19-year-old Guido Dervishllari was found hanging in the hills near the village of Rrëmenj.

A young man full of life, dreams, desires, and hope, he took the extreme step of ending his own life. His untimely death has left a deep sorrow and a void in the hearts of his family and many friends who loved him dearly.

To his friends and all who knew him closely, Guido was a kind, caring young man who was always there for others. No one was prepared for this tragedy.

Today, his parents are facing the greatest pain any family can endure—the loss of a child, the light of their eyes. Beyond the heartbreak that “breaks their chest,” the family is also burdened with heavy financial costs related to the funeral and memorial ceremonies for the 19-year-old.

For this reason, friends and relatives have launched a GoFundMe campaign to financially support the Dervishllari family during these difficult times.

“All donations will go directly toward funeral expenses, memorial services, and any other immediate needs the family may have,” the GoFundMe page states, appealing to those who wish to help the family in their moment of need.
