Queues and delays have formed at the Kapshticë border crossing, as citizens wait to enter the Greek side.
The cause of this situation is the new control system on the Greek border, which requires fingerprint registration for every traveler.
According to reports, the Greek side is operating with only one counter, and the new system has caused waiting times of 1 to 2 hours.
Observations by CNA in the field show that the Albanian side of the Kapshticë border point is almost empty and free of traffic, while on the Greek side, vehicle lines have formed due to the longer processing procedures.
Although the number of travelers is not particularly high, the processing time for each person has increased significantly, causing delays and frustration among citizens waiting to cross the border.
