Serious Accident on the Përrenjas-Librazhd Road

A serious accident occurred on the Përrenjas-Librazhd road, in a place called Pishkash, shortly after midnight on February 15. The tragic incident happened around 00:10, when a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, driven by 34-year-old Zef Sinani, collided with a truck bearing Skopje license plates, driven by a citizen from North Macedonia.

As a result of the accident, a woman lost her life, while the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, Zef Sinani, was seriously injured. He was initially transported to the Librazhd hospital and later to the Regional Hospital of Elbasan for specialized treatment. The victim’s body was taken to the morgue in Elbasan for further examination.

It is suspected that the cause of the accident may have been excessive speed beyond legal limits on a sharp turn in Pishkash, causing the driver to lose control. Authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances and determine full responsibility for the incident. Police and emergency teams arrived at the scene to provide assistance and document evidence.

This road is known for its difficult terrain and sharp turns, and drivers are often warned to adhere to speed limits. Authorities continue to urge maximum caution while driving to prevent similar tragedies.
