SERIOUS INCIDENT / Warehouse engulfed by massive fire, 25-year-old loses his life, another person injured

At around 08:00 this morning, a fire broke out in a warehouse facility in the Fllakë area, Rinia Sector in Durrës, at a business managed by citizen S. M.

According to preliminary information, the flames are suspected to have been caused by a gas cylinder in the area where food was being prepared for the employees.

As a result of the incident, citizen O. M., approximately 25 years old and originally from Bangladesh, lost his life due to asphyxiation, while another employee, citizen Ch. Ch., around 30 years old from Kenya, was transported to the hospital and is receiving medical treatment.

Police and fire brigade services immediately arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the flames.

Meanwhile, the investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, is continuing work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, determine the cause of the fire, and legally document the case.
