Skënderbeu started the year 2025 with a convincing victory yesterday in Durrës. It was the 5th round of the Albanian Cup, with the Group A match Teuta-Skënderbeu ending with a clean 0-3 win for the champions.

It was an easy victory for Koja’s girls, who with this win continue to “secure” the top spot with 15 full points from 5 matches played. In this group, Skënderbeu seems to have no rivals, and now it remains to be seen only in the final phase whether they can confirm the trophy for the Cup, another objective for the red-and-white team.

In yesterday’s win, Skënderbeu delivered an excellent performance, but three players stood out with their gameplay. Head coach Orlando Koja, following this victory, highly praised the performances of team captain Elena Bego and Elisabeth Sandowall, who achieved a 70% success rate in the first line of attack. Meanwhile, the winter signing for Skënderbeu, Rozi, also delivered a perfect performance in game distribution. These three players are featured in the photo below.

The next match for Skënderbeu in women’s volleyball will be against Dinamo at the “Tamara Nikolla” sports hall. The match will take place on Tuesday, January 21st, starting at 4:00 PM. It seems that the next match will also be an easy challenge for this Skënderbeu team.
