As we approach the end of the 2024-2025 season, everyone in the southeast of the country is eager to know how much longer Skënderbeu will have to wait before the team can return to European competitions. Understandably, the fans are anxiously awaiting a pardon, but we are now bringing you the white-and-red club’s strategy for these final years leading up to the end of the ban.

As previously revealed by our portal, Skënderbeu’s UEFA ban will officially end in the summer of 2027, meaning that by July of that year, the club will be eligible to participate in European competitions.

According to the southeastern club’s plan, the upcoming 2025-2026 season will be the last one in which the team competes in the Superliga merely for representation.

In other words, this summer will be the last summer of waiting for Skënderbeu.

At the end of the upcoming 2025-2026 season, the true Skënderbeu will begin.

This is because, at the conclusion of that season, the club is planning a “fire” transfer window, aiming to bring in high-quality players to fight for the league title—since the summer of 2027 marks the club’s return to European football. Alongside these homegrown players, Skënderbeu will also look to sign experienced footballers, and that’s when we’ll truly see the real Skënderbeu. In other words, the city in the southeast of Albania only needs to wait one more season. After that, the long wait will end, and in the 2026-2027 season, Skënderbeu will fight for the championship title.

This is a well-known strategy by the club “Skënderbeu,” which is eagerly awaiting its return to European competitions—driven by the desire to revive a legacy that no other club has been able to replicate. Even though nearly eight years have passed with other Albanian teams participating in Europe, none have managed to achieve what Skënderbeu once did.

Little by little, the ban is nearing its end, and in Korçë, there’s only one more season left to wait—because the end is near...
