Dinamo and Skënderbeu played the first quarterfinal match of the Albanian Cup in Elbasan. The red-and-whites started the match with some changes to give playing time to the new players who arrived just a few days ago in the winter transfer market. Skënderbeu had the first chance in the 2nd minute with Bismark, who nearly scored. Then Zabërgja responded with a similar attempt, but it was the captain Prençi who blocked the shot. The second half began with a substitution for Skënderbeu, as Rashica entered the game. Just a few minutes into the second half, Skënderbeu stunned Dinamo. Bismark received a precise pass on the edge of the box, shot with his left foot, and scored to give Skënderbeu the lead. Before Dinamo could respond, Skënderbeu scored again. A left-wing attack led to a cross into the box for Rashica, but Loran, attempting to clear the ball, accidentally scored an own goal, making it 0-2 for Skënderbeu. After the two goals, Skënderbeu managed the game well, slowing down the tempo. Dinamo made four substitutions, while Skënderbeu made two. In the 88th minute, Felipe nearly scored a third goal, but his shot hit the left post. Dinamo was unclear in their offensive play, especially towards the end of the match. The game finished 0-2 in favor of Skënderbeu, putting them very close to reaching the semifinals of the Albanian Cup with this away win.
