Sot, 10 javë para Pashkës, Kisha Ortodokse fillon periudhën e Triodit

Këtë periudhë parapërgatitore si edhe atë të Kreshmës e quajmë periudhë e Triodit, emërtuar kështu prej librit liturgjik “Triodi” që përdoret intensivisht dhe vetëm gjatë kësaj periudhe.

Ky libër nis dhe vijon për disa javë me himne e lexime mbi përgatitjen e besimtarit për të reflektuar e për t’u penduar, vazhdon pastaj me gjashtë javë gjatë periudhës së kreshmëve, për t’u kulmuar më vonë me pësimet e Krishtit gjatë Javës së Madhe. Prandaj dhe periudha e Triodit ka përmasat më spirituale në adhurimin e krishtërimit ortodoks.

Triodi do të përdoret në kishë deri në kremtimin e Ngjalljes së Krishtit, Pashka e Madhe, duke ia lënë vendin pastaj librit tjetër, “Pesëdhjetores”.

This preparatory period, as well as the Lenten period, is called the period of the Triodion, named after the liturgical book “Triodion,” which is used intensively and exclusively during this time.

This book begins and continues for several weeks with hymns and readings aimed at preparing believers for reflection and repentance. It then proceeds with six weeks during the Lenten period, culminating later with the Passion of Christ during Holy Week. Therefore, the period of the Triodion has the most spiritual significance in Orthodox Christian worship.

The Triodion will be used in the church until the celebration of the Resurrection of Christ, the Great Pascha, after which it will be replaced by another book, the “Pentecostarion.”
