Strong 5.7 magnitude earthquake hits neighboring country this morning / Here’s where the epicenter was

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake caused concern in Lasithi on Friday morning.


According to the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake was particularly shallow, which increased alarm and was felt as far as Turkey, Libya, and Egypt.


At the same time, 112 tremors were recorded across almost all of Crete, as well as in Santorini.


The epicenter of the earthquake was located in a marine area, approximately 14 kilometers southwest of Goudouras, in Lasithi.
