The price of bread in the city of Korçë has increased, reaching 150 lek

The price of bread in the city of Korçë has seen a significant increase in recent days, reaching up to 150 lek for a standard loaf.

According to residents, until a few days ago, bread was sold for around 120 lek, while now prices range from 140 to 150 lek, depending on the bakery and type of product.

Consumers report facing a sudden increase in costs at the points where they purchase bread daily.

Meanwhile, this price increase comes shortly after the collapse of the Librazhd-Prrenjas road section, which led to the total isolation of the southeastern region.

Owners of several bakeries have told the media that the rise in prices is due, in their view, to increased expenses.

According to them, even though the price of flour has not changed recently, other costs such as transportation and electricity have gone up.
