After the capital’s derby, which ended in a 1-1 draw in a match filled with emotions, drama, and a massive brawl between players, Tirana now faces another crucial challenge—this time, a survival derby against Skënderbeu over the weekend. Both teams are currently in the relegation zone. The match, scheduled for Sunday, will take place at “Elbasan Arena,” as the club has opted against playing at Durrës’ “Niko Dovana” stadium.

The team faces significant absences, requiring an immediate impact from the coach’s strategies, especially since three midfielders will be missing. Spanish midfielder Soler, injured against Partizani, will be out for four weeks. Ismajli is also struggling with physical issues, while Marku received a suspension at the end of the last match, leaving Bledi Shkëmbi in a midfield crisis.

Against Skënderbeu at “Elbasan Arena,” the capital’s team will need a flawless performance, particularly in defense, as Gledi Mici, Përgjoni, and Gjumsi are all suspended due to yellow cards. Additionally, Rimal Haxhiu, often used as a utility player, continues to deal with physical problems. In short, it’s a major headache for Bledi Shkëmbi, who will have to improvise in a must-win match.
