Trump bans LGBTQ+ flags on American buildings around the globe

President Donald Trump is asserting his authority over America’s presence worldwide with a new sweeping order that allows only the American flag to fly on diplomatic buildings. The order comes from the State Department, banning flags of the LGBTQ+ community and the Black Lives Matter movement. “According to the order, which takes effect immediately, only the flag of the United States of America is authorized to be flown or displayed on U.S. facilities, both within the country and abroad, and to appear on U.S. government content,” states the Washington Free Beacon, which obtained the text of the order. “The flag of the United States of America unites all Americans under the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy. “These values, which are the foundation of our great country, are shared by all American citizens, past and present.”
