Another viral scene occurred in this year’s Premier League match between Nottingham Forest and Southampton. The score was 3-1 in the 64th minute when Milenković sent the ball into the net with his head. The referee initially called for a cross, but the VAR official warned him to review the play as Wood was interfering with the movement.
During the review, a home fan was seen on camera offering Taylor his credit card to prevent the goal from being ruled out. Meanwhile, the person next to him made the characteristic gesture with his fingers, suggesting if the referee needed money. Unfortunately for the two Nottingham Forest fans, the goal was disallowed as Wood was considered to be interfering.
The home team didn’t need the goal in the end, defeating Southampton 3-2 and continuing their strong run in the league.
