Bledi Shkëmbi shared his first impressions after Tirana’s victory against Skënderbeu. The white-and-blues managed to secure a crucial survival battle win against the Korçë team, albeit narrowly and thanks to a penalty. The capital city’s coach spoke about the 1-0 success in Elbasan, admitting that he can finally have a peaceful night’s sleep.

We struggled a lot throughout the week due to absences. I wouldn’t say we played a weak match because we got the three points. However, it was one of the less impressive performances, at least under my management at Tirana.

Luck has given us back what it had taken from us in previous matches. Now, we’ll see who recovers because time flies, and another match is just around the corner.

We lost too many balls, too many simple passes. We suffered in the second half due to mistakes from the first half, losing possession quickly, and they attacked quickly as well. Our desire for three points only became apparent when we had the ball under control.

Smaçi is intelligent; he could have struggled with the pace of Skënderbeu’s player. Pori did well in replacing Meta, who had to come off injured. Mihana and Vogli took their chance, just like all of us once did at the age of 16. I always consult with the youth coaches; the academy is unquestionable.
