Winter tourism increases / Over half a million visitors, demand dominated by Korçë and Berat

Businesses’ goal of turning the tourism sector into a year-round industry, along with offering attractive deals, has prompted over half a million tourists to visit Albania in November, an increase of around 4.2% compared to the previous year.

According to tour operators, foreign interest in visiting main winter destinations such as Korçë and Berat has grown significantly.

Most visitors come from Europe, America, and the Middle East, primarily for leisure, business, transit, and medical treatments.

While foreigners continue to visit, Albanians increasingly prefer to travel abroad. Operators report that demand for this year’s end, especially for New Year’s Eve stays, has increased by about 25%.

In November alone, the number of foreign nationals departing from Albania reached 645,434 tourists.
