Italian media report that the victim is Tiziana Marchetti, who was found lifeless on the kitchen floor by firefighters who arrived immediately at the scene.

Neighbors had noticed a thick cloud of smoke coming from the woman’s home and promptly alerted emergency services. Despite the swift intervention of volunteer firefighters, attempts to resuscitate the pensioner proved unsuccessful.
