A strong earthquake in Greece, tremors felt as far as Tirana

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale was recorded in the early hours of this Sunday morning in Greece.


According to seismological data, the tremors were registered at 03:32 UTC (05:32 local time), with the epicenter located about 16 kilometers west of Eleousa and around 155 kilometers west of the city of Larissa.


The earthquake occurred at a depth of about 5 kilometers, making it relatively shallow and more noticeable in the surrounding areas.


So far, no material damage or injuries have been reported, while Greek authorities are monitoring the situation and the possibility of further aftershocks has not been ruled out.
