A strong earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded on Friday morning in the maritime area of Kastellorizo.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter of the tremor was located in the sea area 156 kilometers south-southwest of Megisti (Kastellorizo).
The earthquake occurred at 07:35, about 595 km southeast of Athens. According to reports from Greek media, there have been no reports of damage or injuries so far.
