Mateo admitted that he had tried several times to get closer to Brikena while they were dancing together, an action which, according to him, was simply “an attempt,” but which triggered her strong reaction. After that, she first went to the Confession Room and then to the bathroom.

“It happened while we were dancing together. But I didn’t like her reaction, that she got so upset. She sat down immediately, I asked her ‘how are you,’ she told me ‘don’t talk to me at all,’ then she got up and left… For me, what matters is to try; it gives me satisfaction whether I succeed or not is my concern,” he said.

His statements have sparked reactions, as Mateo himself admitted repeated insistence, reinforcing the perception that crossing boundaries may have directly affected Brikena’s emotional state.

He further stated that he had tried to calm the situation by leaving her a letter written in Italian under her door.
