A 17-year-old Albanian, who had been seriously injured to the head in a motorcycle accident in Rhodes, Greece, has died eight months after the tragic incident.

After six months of treatment in hospital and another two months in a rehabilitation center, the young man lost his battle for life. His body has been transported to Albania, where funeral ceremonies will take place.

The incident, which occurred at the end of October last year and left an entire family in anguish for months, ended in tragedy.

The 17-year-old was severely injured in a violent collision between two motorcycles and fought for months to survive, but ultimately did not overcome his injuries.

The accident took place on Wednesday afternoon, October 29, 2025, near a university institution in Rhodes, when two motorcycles collided forcefully. Due to the severity of the crash, the National Emergency Center was immediately mobilized.

An EKAB ambulance arrived at the scene and transported the two injured individuals to hospital for medical care. The condition of the 17-year-old was assessed as critical from the very beginning, as he had suffered severe head trauma.

Doctors immediately began efforts to keep him alive, and his hospital stay proved long and difficult.

According to “Demokratiki,” he remained hospitalized for about six months, with his head injuries determining the course of his condition.

He was later transferred to a rehabilitation center in Larissa, where he stayed for another two months. His family continued to hope for improvement, but despite continuous care in two different medical facilities, he did not recover, according to “Protothema.”

His long battle for life ended in the most painful way, with the teenager succumbing to his injuries. Reports say his father took responsibility for transporting the body back to Albania so that the funeral could be held in his hometown.
