The start date of Skënderbeu’s preparations for the new 2026–2027 season has been changed.

While a few weeks ago it was reported that the team would begin on June 22, it is now learned that Skënderbeu will return to the pitch on July 1.

This postponement is related to the fact that the Albanian Superliga for the 2026–2027 season, unlike previous years, is expected to start on September 6, about three weeks later than usual.

Naturally, the delayed start of the championship has also led the technical staff, led by coach Julian Ahmataj, to decide to begin preparations on July 1.

This is the latest information available at the moment, while so far several departures have been confirmed and more are expected, with incoming players still to be revealed.
