Chaos at KS Pogradeci: the Zguro issue divides the squad, another departure shakes the club

After the defeat in Laç, everything at KS Pogradeci appears to have spiraled out of control. The positive atmosphere that had surrounded the team just a few weeks ago has now disappeared, replaced by tension, internal clashes, and a steadily worsening environment.

The indefinite suspension of captain Vangjel Zguro, following a missed penalty against Laç, has created a deep split: part of the squad stands behind the captain, while others support the decision made by the coach and club management.

But the crisis does not end there. Sources close to the club say the situation is much deeper than it appears. Following the clash between the coach and Zguro, the team has suffered another departure: player Miklovan Pere has left, unhappy with how the situation was handled and with the fact that responsibility for the defeat was publicly placed on the captain.

Meanwhile, there are voices within the team blaming the technical staff for the loss in Laç, arguing that tactical decisions were decisive. On the other hand, the coach appears to have shifted responsibility onto the players, further worsening relations within the squad.

The internal conflicts are not new, according to reports. Arguments have reportedly taken place earlier with goalkeeper Stanić and defender Vilson Lila, while the decision to leave out Danladi from the starting lineup for such a crucial match has also raised eyebrows.

With only two rounds left in the regular season and the “play-off” phase approaching, Pogradeci is at serious risk of failing its main objective of promotion. The investment made by the club’s leadership is now under threat, while the team appears like a “ticking time bomb” at the most critical moment of the season.

Despite Zguro’s suspension, a large part of the fans continues to support the captain, highlighting his long-standing contribution and stressing that missed penalties are part of the game even for the biggest names in world football.
