The well-known social media personality Aleks Visha has stated that he was detained by authorities in Dubai, sparking widespread reactions and debate online.
The news was shared by Visha himself through a video on social media, where he appears speaking about his arrest without giving many details about the specific reasons for his detention.
According to what is mentioned in the video, the incident may be linked to a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, through which around $450,000 is said to have been collected to help a girl suffering from leukemia.
In the caption of his video, he wrote: “After a GoFundMe where $450,000 were raised, I ended up directly in jail. Why? And now deportation from Dubai after a phone call calling me a criminal?”
The footage quickly spread across various social media platforms, while so far there has been no official reaction or detailed information from authorities regarding the nature of the arrest. It also remains unclear whether his detention is directly related to the charity campaign or to other circumstances.
