Authorities in South Africa are continuing investigations into the sudden death of footballer Jayden Adams, the Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder and South Africa national team player.

The 25-year-old was found dead at his home shortly after returning from the World Cup. So far, the cause of death has not been made public, while investigative authorities have said that procedures are still ongoing.

According to local media reports, Adams had gone through a difficult emotional period. He was facing major pressure caused by media attention following his performances, while he had also recently lost his grandmother, an event that was reportedly deeply affecting him.

Reports also claim that the footballer had an argument with his partner the night before he was found dead. However, authorities have not confirmed whether this incident had any connection to the tragic event.

One of the details that has drawn the most public attention is a phone call Adams allegedly had with his father the following morning, during which he is said to have expressed:

“Dad, I can’t handle this anymore.”

Despite these reports, investigators have not yet reached an official conclusion regarding the circumstances of his death. They are continuing to collect and analyze evidence to fully clarify this tragic incident.
