New details have emerged regarding the murder of the Albanian minor in Italy, in which her ex-boyfriend has been identified as the perpetrator.
The tragic incident occurred on October 25, 2024, in Piacenza, where 13-year-old Aurora Tila lost her life after being pushed from a balcony.
According to Italian media, conversations the girl had with the artificial intelligence ChatGPT were used as important evidence in court. She had sought advice about her relationship, expressing doubts about whether she should end it and how to distinguish a healthy relationship from a toxic one.
The Juvenile Court in Bologna sentenced her ex-boyfriend, who was 15 at the time, to 17 years in prison. Investigations revealed that their relationship was marked by pressure, control, and threatening behavior on his part, making the girl feel unsafe and fearful for her safety.
According to the ruling, the boy had shown extreme jealousy and possessiveness, even using threatening language. Although premeditation was not fully proven, he had told a friend a day before the incident that he intended to kill her.
The messages he sent to the victim regarding their final meeting were considered manipulative, convincing her to meet him, possibly in the hope of calming the situation. However, according to the court, he had actually planned to use that meeting to commit the crime.
Initially, he tried to present the incident as an accident or suicide, but evidence and witness testimonies disproved this version, establishing him as the perpetrator of the murder. The court also emphasized his lack of remorse.
