New details have emerged regarding the gruesome crime that shocked Los Angeles, where rapper D4vd allegedly killed and dismembered 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, placing parts of her body into two bags in an attempt to hide their relationship.

According to New York Post, the rapper also known as David Bear and Rivas argued via messages the night before the murder, as the minor was reportedly jealous of the singer’s relationships with other women.

“Rivas threatened to reveal information about her relationship with the defendant in order to end his career and destroy his life,” the investigation states.

The rapper and Rivas are believed to have met in January 2022, when she was just 11 years old, with prosecutors claiming they began a sexual relationship in November 2023, when she was 13 and he was 18. According to the indictment, D4vd used an Uber taxi to transport Rivas from her home to his on the night of April 23, 2025. He then allegedly stabbed her to death and remained still as the minor’s blood flowed.

The following day, he bought and obtained a shovel, and a week later ordered two electric saws from Amazon, which were delivered to his home. On May 5, he allegedly ordered a body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags, and an inflatable pool float purchases he appears to have made under the false name Victoria Mendez.

As described in the complaint, the rapper placed Rivas’s body in the blue inflatable pool and used the electric saw and possibly other tools to cut off her limbs. Investigators found plastic fragments embedded in Rivas’s remains that matched those from the pool he purchased. The singer also amputated two of her fingers because they had tattoos with his name on them; those fingers were never found.
