U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States may need to strike Iran again and that he was just one hour away from making a decision on an attack before postponing it.
“I was one hour away from making the decision to go today,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
Trump said Iran’s leaders are pleading to reach an agreement, but warned that another U.S. strike could take place in the coming days if no deal is reached.
“Well, I mean, I’m saying two or three days, maybe Friday, Saturday, Sunday, something, maybe early next week, a limited period of time, because we cannot allow them to have a new nuclear weapon.”
