A devastating tragedy has struck a family in Scotland, where a mother has passed away just a few months after losing her six-month-old daughter.

Paula Edgar, 34, was left emotionally shattered after her baby daughter, Pixie, suddenly died several months ago. The infant died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) while Paula was bathing her at their home.

According to *The Sun*, Paula had spent around 18 years trying to become a mother, including undergoing in vitro fertilization treatments, before becoming pregnant just a few months before Christmas 2024. Family members described Pixie as a “miracle baby,” who meant the world to them.

After losing her daughter, Paula’s health deteriorated. She began experiencing epileptic seizures caused by two brain tumors. Tragically, Paula passed away in November, although the exact cause of death has not been made public.

Her mother, Diane, shared that her daughter was a joyful person, full of love for life.

“All of that vanished when Pixie died. She became a shadow of herself,” she said.

Diane added that Christmas will be especially painful without her daughter and granddaughter.

“She was loved by everyone and will be remembered for her extraordinary spirit and the impact she had on those around her,” she said.
