Earthquake in Greece, here’s where the tremors were recorded

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Leptokaria area of Thesprotia, Greece. According to the Geodynamic Institute, the tremor occurred at 06:37, with its epicenter located about 9 kilometers northwest of Leptokaria and at a focal depth of 10 kilometers.


The earthquake was felt in several areas of Thesprotia, but so far authorities have not reported any material damage or injuries.


Just a few hours earlier, at 04:50, another earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale had been recorded in the same area. According to seismological data, the activity is being monitored by experts, who believe it may be part of a minor seismic sequence.


The responsible institutions continue to monitor the situation, while so far there are no signs that the tremors have caused significant consequences.
