Meanwhile, while yesterday we reported four departures from Skënderbeu, we now bring the club’s first signing, which in fact does not appear to be a surprise. Kevi Mejdani, the talented centre-back from Korça, has permanently left Kukësi and will now be part of Superliga side Skënderbeu.
The player, who was loaned to Kukësi last season and made 31 appearances, will be placed under the orders of coach Julian Ahmataj for the new season and is seen as a talent for the future. Developed in the club’s own academy, Mejdani has also recently been called up to the Albania U-21 national team and is considered to have a very promising future.
In this way, Mejdani can be considered Skënderbeu’s first signing, and now attention turns to the 8 players who will remain from last season. In the coming days, further official announcements are expected within the red-and-white camp.
Coach Ahmataj has already identified the players who will join Skënderbeu, and although the list is being kept confidential, by June 22, the start date of the summer preparations, new arrivals are expected to be revealed.
