Father forgot his daughter in the car, 2-year-old girl dies!

A 2-year-old girl has died in Spain after being left locked inside the family car for several hours, in a tragic incident that occurred in the town of Brion, in the region of Galicia.

According to Spanish media, the child suffered cardiac arrest due to the extremely high temperatures inside the vehicle. It is suspected that the father forgot to take the girl to daycare after being distracted by a phone call during the morning drive.

Earlier, he had dropped off the family’s other child at school and then headed to work, without realizing that the 2-year-old had remained in the back seat of the car.

The alarm was raised several hours later when the mother went to the daycare center to pick up her daughter and was informed that she had never arrived there during the day. The parents immediately contacted emergency services, but medical teams were unable to save the child.

Police have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident, while local authorities stated that the family is receiving psychological support.

The municipal council of Brion declared two days of mourning in memory of the girl and announced that a minute of silence would be observed. In an official statement, local authorities expressed condolences to the family and promised full community support.

The incident occurred during a period in which Spain is facing unusually high temperatures for the month of May. The state meteorological agency “Aemet” warned that temperatures in some areas of the country could reach up to 38 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists emphasize that extreme heat waves have been appearing earlier and earlier in recent years.
