Astana claimed a dramatic 3-2 victory in the Kazakh league today, defeating Aktobe, the club where Portuguese footballer Luis Nani currently plays.

After their 1-0 win over Dinamo in the first leg at Elbasan Arena, Astana rested most of the players who featured against the Albanian side. The attack was led by former Skënderbeu striker Frenkli Ahanonu, who started the match and played 88 minutes but was unable to find the back of the net.

Astana took the lead in the 12th minute through Shomko, before Zaria equalized for Aktobe just before halftime in the 43rd minute.

The visitors went ahead early in the second half when Shushenachev made it 2-1, but Astana fought back. Basic leveled the score at 2-2 before Basamov netted a dramatic winner in the third minute of stoppage time, sealing a 3-2 comeback victory.

The win lifts Astana to third place in the standings with eight wins, five draws, and four defeats after 17 league matches.
