Albanian midfielder Fabio Refatllari celebrates his 17th birthday today, just four days after taking an important step in his career by making his first-team debut for Volos in the Greek Cup.

Refatllari featured in the match against Iraklis, which Volos won 3-1. The young Albanian spent 80 minutes on the pitch, making a positive impression in his first appearance with the senior team.

Making his debut at such a young age is a significant achievement, particularly in Greek football, where it is uncommon for players of this age to be given a role in the first team.

Refatllari appears to be an exception, earning playing time and the trust of the coaching staff.

His performances during this period could soon bring the midfielder to the attention of Greece’s youth national teams, making the situation even more interesting for Albania.

If Refatllari continues at the same pace and manages to establish himself in Volos’ first team, the Albanian national team could have another young talent worth following closely. The midfield, particularly the position in front of the defense, is an area where a promising young player could become a valuable option for the future.

For now, Fabio Refatllari is enjoying a special moment: just 17 years old, with a first-team debut already on his CV and a great opportunity to take further steps in his career.
