According to a statement by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Tehran considers this development a “major victory,” claiming it has forced the United States to accept a 10-point Iranian plan. This plan includes, among other things, regulating passage through the strait in direct coordination with the Iranian military.
Iranian authorities state that over the next two weeks, the passage of ships through this strategic route will be temporarily allowed, but only if they communicate and coordinate their movements with Iran’s armed forces.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that all vessels must align their movements with the military to ensure security. He also expressed gratitude to Pakistan and its leadership for their role in achieving the ceasefire.
This development comes at a sensitive moment for regional security and global trade, as the Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most important corridors for oil transportation in the world.
