Iran has issued a strong warning to Donald Trump after the U.S. president threatened strikes on bridges and power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened.
The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, addressed Trump directly, stating that his actions are “dragging the United States into a living HELL for every family.”
He called on Trump to stop, warning that otherwise the entire region could be engulfed in conflict.
“Your reckless moves are dragging the United States into a living HELL for every family, and our entire region will burn because you insist on following the orders of Benjamin Netanyahu. Make no mistake: you will gain nothing through war crimes,” he said.
Earlier, Donald Trump warned Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, otherwise bridges and power plants would be targeted on Tuesday. He also expressed optimism about the possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran on Monday.
