An unusual incident occurred during a boxing event in Thailand, where a Russian MMA boxer experienced a dramatic moment while celebrating his victory.
Phuket hosted the fourth edition of VVEED Boxing, organized by the Weed Boxing Championship, a promotion that is steadily gaining international attention. A total of eight matches took place during the evening, but one of them went viral for reasons no one could have imagined.
The protagonist of the moment was Ivan Parshikov, a Russian fighter with experience in some of the most well-known organizations like ONE Championship, RCC, and ACA. Parshikov entered the ring with a record of 21 professional fights, 16 wins, and 5 losses, and he closed the match with a convincing knockout victory.
The drama began after the fight ended. While celebrating his win, Parshikov climbed onto the ropes to excite the crowd, but when he touched part of the metal structure to maintain his balance, he was suddenly electrocuted.
The moment was shocking, as Parshikov stiffened and fell out of the ring. Fortunately, he quickly stood up, showing that he had not suffered serious injuries.
In an even stranger twist, he immediately ran toward a nearby pool and jumped in, swimming to the opposite side—an entirely unusual way to end a sports evening.
