Italy, Turkey, or Poland at the end? Here’s the path Albania needs to take to reach the World Cup

The big victory against Serbia has overturned the group standings and given Albania a real chance to secure second place, a position that leads to the “Play Off” stage for World Cup qualification.

If Albania defeats Andorra and Serbia does not win away against England, the red-and-blacks will mathematically secure second place. If Serbia wins, they will need just one point in their match against England to maintain the position.

Second place does not guarantee direct qualification. The national team moves on to the “Play Off” stage, where 12 national teams are divided into three mini-tournaments, and only the winners of each mini-tournament secure a spot in the World Cup.
