Skënderbeu has been in full preparation mode under the guidance of coach Ernest Gjoka and his technical staff, but two notable absentees continue to draw attention, defender Marko Ramos and midfielder Juri Merlim.
Both players were expected to join the team from the very first day of pre-season training on June 25, but as of July 10, they have still not returned, with no valid explanation provided for their prolonged absence.
Sources close to the club confirm that Ramos and Merlim are absent without permission, and Skënderbeu is preparing to issue fines, which will be formally communicated once the players rejoin the squad. The club is reportedly frustrated by the unprofessional conduct, especially as both players are under contract and are expected to respect its terms in full.
Moreover, Marko Ramos has remained active on social media, even posting photos in Skënderbeu gear while still in Brazil, despite failing to report for training.
Club officials have made it clear that the fines will increase for each day of delay, and both players are expected to travel immediately and rejoin the team. Their return is not only expected but demanded, as the club underlines that being under contract means honoring it in full.
The next few days will be decisive. Skënderbeu awaits, but with growing impatience.
