LATEST/ Skënderbeu wraps up friendlies. Here’s the agenda ahead of Burreli!

Skënderbeu has wrapped up the penultimate week of preparations for the new season, with coach Ernest Gjoka giving his players two days off today and tomorrow.

After a long preparatory phase, the team played yesterday against Skënderbeu U-19, a test that helped Gjoka get a clearer picture of the lineup he will field on August 23 in the season opener against Burreli. It is now official that the first match will be played next Saturday, a week later, starting at 20:00 under the floodlights.

With that, Skënderbeu closed this preparation phase with four friendlies: two wins, one draw, and one loss. The southeastern team arrives with many new signings from the transfer market, but the main focus now is the opening match and the first official presentation of the squad.

While today and tomorrow will be days of rest and relaxation, training will resume on Monday as Skënderbeu begins its weekly preparations for the new First Division season.
