“Madness” / Ticket prices soar to 1500 Euros on the black market to watch Albania vs Serbia

In various sections of the “National Arena,” from behind the goal to the VIP stand, ticket prices range from 180 euros up to 1500 euros.

The Albanian national football team will play on Saturday at 20:45 against Serbia at the “National Arena” in Tirana, a match valid for Group K of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

For the match against Serbia, which for some is more than just a football game, ticket demand has exceeded 200,000. However, prices on the black market and online resale sites used by ticket holders are truly “steep.”

A simple check on “viagogo.com” shows that a large number of tickets have been listed for sale on this platform, likely by people who secured tickets initially. The platform protects buyers if the tickets are invalid.

Despite tickets being listed for resale, this raises questions about the AFF’s (Albanian Football Association) policy of personalized tickets, each with the buyer’s name.

In different stadium sectors, from behind the goal to the VIP stand, ticket prices range from 180 euros to 1500 euros. In sector W104 of the VIP stand at the “National Arena,” two tickets are still for sale at 1500 euros each.
