“Mokra n’Fest” on August 8, the magic of a tradition proudly preserved from generation to generation

Mokra will host the seventh edition of the “Mokra n’Fest” festival on August 8, an open invitation to experience firsthand the magic of a tradition proudly preserved from generation to generation.

This celebration, which for years has brought together people from Mokra from all over Albania and beyond, transforms this beautiful mountainous area into a center of tradition, culture, and hospitality.

Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu said today that this celebration is a journey into the heart of our cultural heritage, where Albanian hospitality shows its most beautiful face, landscapes intertwine with history, and traditional dance becomes the common language of joy.

“On August 8, near the Stone Bridge in Golik, we celebrate together the values that represent us best: tradition, culture, and pride in Albania,” said Koçiu.

During the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the characteristic dishes of the area, prepared by the hands of Mokra’s mothers.

Among the activities expected to take place are canoeing on the Shkumbin River, outdoor camping, artists’ colonies, a photography exhibition, and entertainment for children and young people.

This folklore festival is a return to roots, a reminder of values and cultural identity, as well as an invitation to experience the spirit of Mokra up close.
