Oil prices have fallen following news of an agreement between the United States and Iran.

Meanwhile, US West Texas crude was priced at $80.95 per barrel, down 4.63%.

US President Donald Trump said that the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened and the US naval blockade on Iranian ports would be lifted. “Ships of the world, start your engines,” he wrote, adding “let the oil flow!”

“The agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to everyone! I fully authorize the opening of the Strait of Hormuz without restrictions and, at the same time, authorize the immediate lifting of the United States naval blockade. Ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil flow!” the American leader stated.

Both sides have announced the immediate and permanent end of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, according to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
