Pain and Loss: Juela recounts the killing of her ex-partner

A shocking and deeply emotional testimony came from Juela inside the Big Brother VIP house, during an intimate conversation with one of the residents.

She shared one of the deepest wounds of her life: the moment she received the news of the killing of her ex-partner, who was found dead together with his sister. The incident had occurred at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, at a time when the world was shut down and uncertainty was everywhere, making the pain even harder to bear.

Juela revealed that just minutes before the tragedy, she had spoken with him. The memory of that moment remains vivid and painful.

“I had spoken to him about 20 minutes earlier… they told me to try calling him. The news had come out on television… I only remember throwing the plates on the floor,” she recounted, recalling the first moments of shock.

She initially learned about the event from an acquaintance in England, while the news had already started circulating in Albanian media. But beyond the pain of loss, she also faced another heavy burden: the inability to be there, due to border closures and travel restrictions.

“It was very difficult to accept that he was no longer alive,” she said in a trembling voice.

Juela’s testimony is a powerful reflection of the pain left behind by such tragic events, but also of human strength to survive emotionally and move forward, despite wounds that never fully heal.
